Love it or hate it, wine is a VERY popular drink of choice for many of us. And if you also happen to be a crafter AND a wine drinker? Even better. Between wine cork projects and wine bottle crafts, there are all kinds of wine crafts out there.
I drink wine pretty infrequently, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t saved corks over the years! In fact, one of my most useful blog projects ever was this cork trivet! I use it CONSTANTLY in my kitchen.
And I’m certainly no stranger to wine bottle crafts, either! Creating these sea glass bottles for coastal decor was just one of many recycled bottle crafts I’ve made over the years.
But here’s the thing about recycling project ideas related to wine- it’s not limited to just corks and bottles!
There are wine boxes or crates to consider, craft projects with wine glasses, and even creating NEW projects to use while drinking wine.
Such as creating a set of wine charms by upcycling something else.
Which brings me back to the point of this post: There are literally TONS of recycling project ideas for a wine lover. Some of them involve wine-related waste, but others just involve wine-related activities.
And you don’t have to be a wine drinker to enjoy them!
So, I’ve gathered some trash to treasure crafts that would be perfect for wine lovers and drinkers. And yes, there are TONS of other upcycling ideas out there…but these are definitely some of my favorites.
Recycling Project Ideas for a Wine Lover
See what I mean? Whether you’re a wine lover or just want to make personalized wine gifts for someone else, there is an upcycling idea out there for you. And since you’re repurposing, these might be ideal as inexpensive gifts for wine lovers, too.
I even included a wine gift bag in my first book, “Crafting with Flannel”!
Also, I know there are a lot of NON-wine drinkers out there that may still be interested in crafting with corks, glass bottles, etc.
I always recommend talking to a bartender or local restaurant owner at your favorite eatery. They may be very happy to set aside empty bottles and spent corks for you to pick up!
And while it may not be a wine cork idea, you may also enjoy this upcycling idea for a DIY cork board, as well, before you go!
Craft on!
