Last year when I was vase-shopping for this project, not only did I find a perfect vase, but an interesting basket, as well. It wasn’t flat on the bottom but had an intriguing appearance with wonderful texture. As I held it in my hand and flipped it over, I realized it could become a boho pumpkin when turned upside-down.Read more ›

Pumpkin Decor from Straw Trivets
Whenever I see woven mats or straw trivets at thrift stores, I can’t help but grab them. And while I’ve upcycled trivets before into my boho basket wall décor, I’ve been secretly stashing away a few in fall colors. Because I wondered if I could turn them into pumpkin decor for Fall.Read more ›
Greeting Autumn with Fall Signs
I have to admit, I never really jumped on the “Signs for all things” decorating bandwagon. Live, laugh, love was something we naturally did- not advertised in our house. But…but…I have made exceptions during autumn and upcycled a few Fall signs along the way.Read more ›

Fall Candy Dish and Indian Corn Decorations
A corn bowl like this is something I see while thrifting quite frequently. Some of them are valuable (i.e., Corn King by Shawnee Pottery). A DIY loom that could double as a standing frame to display a Hello Fall sign!Read more ›
Non-Pumpkin Fall Decorations

I have “pumpkinized” countless thrift store items over the years, and yes, there will be MORE in the future. But even I recognize the fact that they can be easily overdone. So, I thought it’d be fun to create a post about non-pumpkin fall decorations in case you would like a bit more variety, as well.Read more ›
Coastal Fall Decor
Many years ago while visiting our old stomping grounds (West Palm Beach), we visited a nautical antiques shop that was simply FABULOUS. While no longer in business there, I’ve had a prized pair of lobster buoys since our visit. And one of them recently inspired me to create some coastal fall decor.
Pilgrim Hat Craft and Thanksgiving Place Cards
There I was, in one of the Charlotte Region Habitat ReStores, tinkering around the light fixture section. I mean, it’s not exactly a strange place to find me. BUT, imagine me picking up a light baffle and placing it atop my head for a split second. Because as soon as I saw a pile of them, I knew they’d be perfect for a pilgrim hat craft. Not to wear, mind you, but as Thanksgiving table decor.
