If you have a guy to shop for, then you may struggle with gift-giving…and you are certainly not alone! So, instead of buying presents at the mall, maybe it’s time to take a different approach with these upcycling ideas. Whether you’re looking for birthday gifts for him, romantic gifts for him, or even best man gift ideas, this collection is for you. Trust me – there are some cool gifts for guys that you can make and he will love!
Over the years, I’ve made a few gifts for guys are that repurposed or upcycled, such as these beer coasters that look like oversized bottle caps…
I made these for my husband and he absolutely LOVED them. And trust me, he’s hard to impress!
And this belt organizer from a vintage pants hanger.
There are probably more upcycling ideas and repurposed projects out there than you think. So, I gathered up some cool gifts for guys that are entirely repurposed and that you can DIY.
And maybe, just maybe, they can even be made from a favorite shirt of is that can’t be worn anymore. Some shirt pocket sachets for his dresser drawers, perhaps? Or like this, a business card holder to keep in a briefcase or truck!
You can find the instructions for this business card holder in my book, “Crafting with Flannel”.
Whether he is outdoorsy, loves a good beverage, plays games, or something in between, I <hopefully> have him covered.
Cool Gifts for Guys that Are Upcycled and Repurposed
Hopefully some ideas have sparked your creativity, whether you need birthday gifts for a husband, unusual Father’s Day gifts, or even man cave gifts – like this game board clock.
Making gifts for guys yourself doesn’t have to be daunting, and upcycling makes it even more special and unique. Especially if it involves something he really loves (clearly my husband is a craft beer fan!)
If you enjoyed this collection of upcycling ideas, then you’ll love this collection of repurposed projects for flannel shirts! You’ll be cleaning out his side of the closet in no time at all…
Speaking of which, I’m SO excited to announce that my first book is now available! If you love working with flannel or fabric crafts in general (sewing and non-sewing), then you will LOVE “Crafting with Flannel”!
Craft on!

Oh, this makes me so happy!! Which ideas are your favorites??
The wine bottle covers, rake wrench holder, wooden level coat rack, golf club tie holder. Pretty much all of them!
Excellent choices!! 😀
The re-purposed t-shirts to wall art is going to send me to the thrift store to see what fun ideas lurk on the racks!
Oooh, a treasure hunt!! 🙂 Love it.
These are some wonderful ideas. I like how unique they are. Plus, the fact that they repurposed products makes it even better.
