A friend of mine found this wooden gun rack at a thrift store and figured I could upcycle it into something fun for my blog. And she was right! I mulled over different upcycling ideas before it occurred to me that it could become a fabric organizer for scrap fabric. And transforming it into my vision wouldn’t be hard at all!
DIY Clipboard and Garage Wall Organizer
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a TERRIBLE habit of losing my gardening gloves. After some yard work, I’d come into the garage, rip off my gloves, and fling them wherever I could before going inside. It has led to countless trips to the hardware store to buy new gloves – wasteful in money, time, and well…gloves! So, it seemed high time that I create a DIY clipboard or a garage wall organizer that would be specifically dedicated to work gloves!
Cat Toy Storage in a Vintage Wooden Crate

DIY Pin Cushion in a Vintage Teapot

Pin Holder from a Knife Stand and Balls of Twine
I’ve made a lot of jewelry organization projects in my time, but this is the only one specifically for brooches and pins. It’s a play off an idea I saw at an antiques store that used cotton string (straight from the hardware store) as a pin holder. And I knew right away I wanted to recreate my own version!
Wooden Necklace Holder with Vintage Thread Spools
As a short & round woman, I am destined to love accessories since my clothing options are limited. Which means that jewelry organization and jewelry storage are always something I need more of. So, after collecting some salvaged wood and vintage thread spools, I decided to create a wooden necklace holder with them.
Craft Ribbon Storage with a Hanging Paper Towel Holder
So here I am again with something that can barely be called a “craft”. BUT, all of us DIYers and crafters need a little help in the Craft Room Organization struggle, right? And this form of craft ribbon storage is just the trick we all need.Read more ›
